In short
The universal pre-kindergarten program is an optional play-based program for all Island four-year-old children. There are no parent fees for the core program which offers 15 hours a week from licensed early childhood centres.Pre-kindergarten educators support the children’s transition to kindergarten by developing a portfolio for each child which highlights their overall development. Most Island four-year-old children already attend an early childhood centre providing pre-kindergarten. By providing increased access we anticipate other families will take advantage of this early childhood
