  1. 1

    You answer

One question at a time about the business and the project: legal structure, sector, region, stage, needs. You can go back and change an answer at any time.

  2. 2

    The AI reads every program

Our AI compares your profile with the criteria of each program: eligibility, eligible expenses, amounts, region. It sets aside what does not apply to you.

  3. 3

    You get your list

The programs you seem eligible for, the reason for each assessment, what is left to check and the official link to apply.

From Newfoundland to the Yukon.

523 programs are open to businesses across Canada. The others are specific to a province or territory: the list adapts to where your head office is.

Every form of assistance, in one place.

Government assistance is not always a cheque. Depending on the project, a flexible loan, a tax credit or advisory support can be worth more than a grant. Subvention.app looks for all of them, across 1,205 provincial and territorial programs, 598 programs from other public bodies, 537 federal programs, 37 municipal programs.

  • 1,196

    Grants

Money paid for a specific project, with no repayment. Often a share of eligible expenses: hiring, equipment, innovation, exporting.

  • 140

    Loans and guarantees

Repayable financing, often on more flexible terms than a bank: repayment holidays, favourable rates, loans without a personal guarantee. Or a guarantee from the funding body on part of your bank loan, which makes credit easier to get for a young or growing business.

  • 64

    Tax credits

A tax reduction tied to certain expenses, such as research and development or cultural production. Claimed with your tax return.

  • 198

    Advisory support

Mentoring, training, expert advice or access to a network. Useful when starting out, exporting or adopting a technology.

  • 779

    Other assistance

Competitions, bursaries, technical services, access to public procurement: forms of assistance that do not fit the other categories.

New

And for you, at home.

Government assistance is not only for businesses. Homeowners, tenants, students, families: several programs pay back part of a renovation, a purchase or a training program.

You probably have these questions

Do I need an account?

Not to start. You can answer the questions right away. To receive your list by email and come back later, all you need is a phone number and a 6-digit PIN.

Where do the programs come from?

From official sites and portals: Innovation Canada's Business Benefits Finder, Québec.ca, provincial and territorial governments, cities, economic development agencies and energy utilities. Our AI also reads each program's official page and its PDF documents. Each assessment links to the program's official website.

How does the AI decide?

First, rule-based sorting sets aside programs outside your province or reserved for others. Then the AI reads the full program page along with your profile and gives a reasoned assessment: seems eligible, likely, uncertain or not eligible, with a confidence level.

Can the AI be wrong?

Yes. Each assessment shows its reason, its confidence and what is left to check. The funding body always makes the final decision: check the official website before you apply.

What happens after my list?

Your list stays in My programs, with the AI's assessment, its reason and the official link for each program. In My tracking, you record the status of your applications, your notes and your deadlines. If you tick the box, a weekly email sends you the programs you seem eligible for, newest first. Members also get an opportunity report every month and an email reminder 14 days and then 3 days before a deadline.

Do my results change over time?

Yes. Programs are updated every week. When a program page or your profile changes, the AI reads the program again and gives a new assessment. The weekly email goes out after this review, with new programs first.

Your next grant may already be on the list.
