Answers to the questions we hear most often.
How much does Subvention.app cost?
Searching, your list of programs, program pages, alerts and the newsletter are free. Optional paid plans (Supporter, Dev, Pro and Partner) add services such as application preparation or MCP access. They are described on the Pricing page.
Do you take a commission on the funding?
No. We take no commission, neither on the funding you receive nor from the funding bodies.
Do you submit the application for me?
No. “Prepare my application” gathers the documents, steps and forms for a program, and points out what you are missing. You then submit the application yourself to the funding body, which alone decides whether to accept it.
What kinds of funding are there?
Grants, loans and loan guarantees, tax credits and support (mentoring, training, expert advice). They come from the federal government, provinces and territories, cities and public bodies.
Is it also for households?
Yes. Choose “For me and my household”: energy-efficient renovation, heating, electric vehicles, first home purchase, education, family and health.
What if my business is outside Quebec?
The list covers all 13 provinces and territories, plus the federal government. It adapts to the province of your head office: you see its programs and those offered across Canada.
Artists, non-profits, farmers: is it for us?
Yes. Each group has its own page: artists and culture, non-profits and co-ops, agriculture, fishing and forestry, Indigenous businesses, youth and students, self-employed. An artist or a non-profit starts with “For my business”.
What do you do with my answers?
They are used to find your funding. We never sell or rent your information, and partners never see profiles. A profile created without an account and unused for 12 months is anonymized: only general data, which cannot identify you, is kept for our statistics.
How do I delete my data?
In your profile, each answer has a Delete button, and you can delete the whole profile. Deletion erases everything that could identify you; an anonymized version is kept for our statistics. In My account, you can also download all your data.
Are the programs up to date?
We reread the official sources every week. Each program page shows its update date and the link to the official page: always check the deadline and conditions there before applying.
How do I hear about new funding?
With an account, you get the newsletter on the 1st of each month: upcoming deadlines and new programs for your profile. Save a program to get a reminder before its deadline, by email or notification.
Can I install it as an app?
Yes. On a phone or a computer, your browser offers to add Subvention.app to your home screen. It then opens like an app.
Can I use it in my AI tools?
Yes, with the MCP server: our programs become available in Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. Access is included in the Dev, Pro and Partner plans.
Who is behind Subvention.app?
