In short
The Primary Intervention Program (PIP) provides targeted literacy support to Grade 3 students in Early French Immersion within the Public Schools Branch who are approaching the literacy benchmarks established by the Department of Education. As part of this intervention, the PIP teacher works intensively with a group of four students for two and a half to three hours each day over a period of 25 to 30 consecutive days. Outside of this time, students participating in PIP rejoin their regular classroom cohort for mathematics, music, physical education, and library periods.
