The Québec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) allows the surviving parent to receive the unpaid benefits of the deceased parent. These weeks are added to their own, at a replacement rate of 70% or 75%. The liquidator can also claim the sums owed to the deceased if a claim had already been made.
